The Workers’ Compensation Department practice centers around our firm's philosophy of anticipating issues rather than reacting to crises. We address the increasing overlap between Workers' Compensation Law and Employment Law, which continues to present new challenges in the management of industrial injury claims.
We have combined the substantial specializations and broad backgrounds of our attorneys into a highly qualified team of professionals who are dedicated to meeting our clients' diverse legal needs. Members of our firm have over 50 years of litigation experience in Workers' Compensation cases.
The Workers’ Compensation Department of Cunningham, Machanic, Cetlin, Johnson, Harney & Tenney, LLP is focused on representation of workers’ compensation insurance carriers, self-insurers and third-party administrators against claims filed at the Department of Industrial Accidents. On a daily basis, our attorneys are in each Regional Office of the Department of Industrial Accidents in Massachusetts (Boston, Worcester, Lawrence, Fall River and Springfield), aggressively advocating on behalf of our clients, whether it is before a judge at conference or hearing, with a physician at deposition or with opposing counsel in negotiation. The members of the Workers’ Compensation Department are equally effective in oral and written advocacy, obtaining for our clients superior litigation results including obtaining precedent-setting decisions from the Department of Industrial Accidents Reviewing Board. The Workers’ Compensation Department dedicates itself to serving our clients’ needs and providing the highest level of service, including providing in-house training and client seminars on complex or new areas of the law.
